Interactive session on “Entrepreneurship program and R & D” with GeNext Genomics, Nagpur Dated 30th January 2024
Dr. Vinod Agarkar (Director-Research & Chief Mentor Officer) and Dr. Supriya Kashikar (Founder and CEO of Genext Genomics) were invited for the interactive meeting to encourage students for entrepreneurship. Genext Genomics Pvt Ltd is an emerging life science research start up and contract research organization in central India. The program was conducted on 30th January 2024 in collaboration of Caregenix Diagnotech pvt. Ltd (BIRAC BIG GRANT) and Central India Institute of medical Science (CIIMS- ARC) in the presence of Honorable Director Dr. Rajpal Singh Kashyap, CIIMS team and students.
As Mrs. Abhaya Kanoje (Principal investigator Project Coordinator Founder Caregenix Diagnotech pvt. Ltd) have received one of the India’s largest early stage Biotech funding for innovation and entrepreneurship from Department of Biotechnology India “BIRAC’s Biotechnology Ignition Grant (BIG-21)”. It is one of the largest early-stage biotech funding programs in India to help innovators and start ups to take their product ideas to a Proof of concept stage over a period of 18 months with funding support of up to Rs. 50 lakhs.
Dr. Supriya has given the presentation on “Insight into the entrepreneurship of Antibody”. She introduced about the stages of the startup, detail description regarding the company incorporation, investors, company valuation, market value of the product and its demand and exit model. She also mentioned about the Biologics and the projects and achievements.
Dr. Vinod has given presentation on “Protein expression and Crystallization: Problems and Solutions”. He mentioned about the proteins, critical steps in protein expression and purification, major steps and Major factors in crystallization, methods of protein crystallization.
