The AYUSH Conclave – Series I, centered on the theme “Cow Urine Distillate (CUD) as Core Focus”, was successfully Organized at Panchagavya Bhawan, Deolapar. This focused technical discussion meeting brought together 25–30 selected experts and researchers from diverse scientific and clinical backgrounds to deliberate on the scientific, translational, and therapeutic
potential of CUD.
The session was chaired by Dr. Rajpal Singh Kashyap (Director Research, CIIMS-ARC) and Dr. Nandini Bhojraj (Ayurvedic Physician, Govigyan Kendra, Deolapar). The event commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Hemant Jambhekar, who presented an overview of the history, objectives, and research contributions of Go-Vigyan Anusandhan Kendra, particularly highlighting the role of CUD in ongoing scientific studies.
The conclave featured in-depth technical discussions across two major sessions. Technical Session I focused on the scientific evaluation of CUD in tuberculosis research, where Dr. Amit Nayak presented findings from the AYUSH-supported project exploring CUD as a bioenhancer in combination with anti-tuberculosis drugs. Experts provided valuable inputs on study design, mechanism validation, biomarker standardization, and the need for advanced preclinical and clinical studies.
Technical Session II expanded on the biomedical and therapeutic applications of CUD, including its potential role in cancer, metabolic disorders, and hematological conditions. Discussions emphasized the importance of generating robust clinical evidence, standardization of formulations, and aligning research with regulatory frameworks. The conclave served as a dynamic platform for scientific exchange, critical evaluation, and collaborative planning, with active participation from leading experts across institutions. Key outcomes included identification of research gaps, strengthening of methodological approaches,
and development of a structured roadmap for translational and clinical research.
Overall, the event marked a significant step towards establishing Cow Urine Distillate as a scientifically validated component of integrative medicine, highlighting the need for rigorous research, interdisciplinary collaboration, and alignment with national health priorities.
