A diagnostic wing in a research lab is a specialized area dedicated to developing, refining, and conducting various tests for the diagnosis of medical conditions, diseases, or other health-related issues. This area plays a critical role in advancing medical research, improving patient care, and facilitating early and accurate diagnoses. CIIMS Advanced Research centre lead a very pivotal role in diagnostics. Diagnosis being the important implications for patient care, research, and policy. The wing defines the motto to serve patients with utmost advanced diagnostic facilities through various Molecular techniques and Immunological techniques. The diagnostic wing at our centre includes various diagnostic tests panels detecting CNS infections in Cerebrospinal fluid, infectious diseases leading to bacterial and viral infections, vector borne infections, zoonotic infections, and Antimicrobial Resistance panel using various body fluids.
The diagnostic wing at our centre embarks as an remarkable role in connecting the Neurophysician in and around the city to form a Neuro Consortium at CIIMS-ARC which helps our diagnostic wing to have a public policy decision consortium are would lead to often influenced by diagnostic information, such as setting payment policies, resource allocation decisions, and research priorities. The diagnostic wing at our centre includes various types of tests and developments. The centre has now been Accrediated under NABL Scope for Hepatitis C virus. The wing now will soon be accredited for many other diagnostic tests panels. The diagnostic wing is spread not in Nagpur city but the departments serve its services in Vidarbha region. The enhancement of this diagnostic wing includes marketing of all our diagnostic services at all the Multispeciality hospitals in and around Nagpur.
