mNGS to study undiagnosed cases of Meningioencephalitis

In our centre, scientists are working on diagnostic utility of mNGS to study
undiagnosed cases of meningioencephalitis .The initial results are encouraging
and diagnose several undiagnosed cases and identify several non-infectious
cases.

Metagenomics sequencing of total microbial RNAs in wastewater to assess multiple infectious diseases

Scientists from India, UK and other countries performed metagenomics
sequencing of total microbial RNAs in wastewater to assess multiple infectious
diseases, We have detected several infectious diseases which facilitates
geographical and epidemiological survey of endemic viruses that could help
direct healthcare against emergent and pre-existing infectious disease.

Diagnosis of neuroviruses and neurobacterias

Team of CIIMS-ARC is running several projects to diagnose crucial
neuroviruses and neurobacterias which are responsible for causing serious
neuroinfections using molecular and immunological approach.

Genomic surveillance for SARS-COV 2 in India

CIIMS-ARC is a part of INSACOG project, DBT, Govt of India for genomic
surveillance for SARS-COV 2 in India.

One health approach for zoonotic infection

CIIMS team actively works on zoonotic infection under one health approach,
CIIMS along with other collaborations identify various important zoonotic
infection which are neglected and causing serious illness of the health

BIRAC Grant for development of Lateral Flow Assay to detect Brucella infection:

One of our team members of CIIMS-ARC received BIRAC Grant to develop
Lateral Flow Assay to detect Brucella infection. CIIMS-ARC members are
actively involved in this and several new projects of commercial value and
much needed for the growth.
